Az elmúlt hetekben (hónapokban) számos médium adott hírt a Dunaferrt érintő nehézségekről, amelyhez mindenképpen kapcsolódik egy nyilvánvaló a tény: ha a gyár gondban van, annak nagyon komoly hatása lesz Dunaújvárosra és közvetlen térségére. A következő hónapok talán legjelentősebb kérdése, hogy a város és térségének gazdasága továbbra is építhet-e a gyárra, vagy adott esetben olyan nehézségekkel kell szembenéznie, amelyeket az ózdi vagy diósgyőri vas- és acélgyártás fokozatos eltűnése okozott az elmúlt évtizedekben.
